Kayla Abel is a clarinetist and educator based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex where she maintains a large private studio. She works with schools in Denton, Frisco, and Lewisville independent school districts. Many of her students have placed in All-Region and Area bands and earned a Superior rating in Solo and Ensemble contests. In 2017 she earned a master’s degree in clarinet performance from University of North Texas and a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. She has performed across the country and with several bands and orchestras in the D/ FW area. Her primary teachers include Dr. John Scott, Deborah Fabian, and Andrew Crisanti.
